A month ago, I've managed to accidentally erase my entire MySQL database and considering that there was nothing important on it yet, I didn't bother backing stuff up. While I've lost a news post, that was nevertheless, a good opportunity to remake the entire News module - it just took a while to do that. Now it's back in a more organized and documented structure, however, which means I won't have to deal with it in the near future!
Recently, I've landed in quite a delay when it comes to updating this site and actually preparing it for the general public. Be it the exams, Furcadia test phases or other reasons, I fell behind a little. However, with the repairs I've done to the front page and "globalization" of certain PHP modules, I hope that I'll be getting back in control with all that.
Right now, I'll be trying to clean up the messy scripts I made to automate certain annoying procedures, and try making order in the way I display contents on each page. It seems that the current method is still rather chaotic and hacky, and that will be quite a pain to maintain in the future. This has to be dealt with and will most likely be one of my next steps here. There might be no noticeable changes visually, but having a clean code underneath will make enhancements and maintenance a lot easier and faster.
The next step of mine would involve getting enough information to render the
classic FTR obsolete, and spreading a word about FTR's return - something I've been holding back for a while now. Let's hope that these steps will be as effortless as possible...
